Trouble Browsing ( pages sometimes timeout...)

Hope someone can help... My old linksys router died the other day and I replaced with Dlink router.

I use firefox and my web browsing is timing out all the time. I will be browsing and click a link and page wont come up(times out) Open a new tab and times out page wont load. I wait 30 secs and re-load works. Restart browser and it works... for a while...

The funny thing is that it's not all the time. I can't replicate the times it won't work.

Running wired 10/100 connection with windows xp Home SP3. Been having this problem only since I got the DLINK.

Any ideas??

Open CMD, Reset WINSOCK entries to installation defaults by typing: netsh winsock reset catalog

Reset TCP/IP stack to installation defaults by typing: netsh int ip reset reset.log

Restart your PC.

If it doesn't work, download Winsock XP Fix from here, save it to your Desktop.

Double click on the exe on your Desktop.
Press the "Fix" button, then restart again.

See if you can connect now.
