Hard drive missing memory

My hard drive says it's suppose to have 80 GB, but I only have 15 GB and I know I am only using about 15 GB. Also, when I was running Malwarebytes it was scanning my old sisters files which It says I cant access. It has been like that ever since I did PC recovery.

and I will lose everything if I recover right? If so, I don't want to.

Yes, you will loose everything, unless you back it up. Hello, your drive shows that you are using 77GB. how do you know you are using only 15GB?

I checked every folder in the C: drive except the one I cant access which is my sister's folder and nȯne of the folders seem like they would be taking 77 GB

During the normal operation of your computer, Windows and your other program create an awful lot of temporary files. Though it's called temporary, they don't usually get removed, so they build up.

Thank you for updating the link, but how come my sisters files are still here even though I did PC Recovery. When I ran Malwarebytes, it was scanning my sisters files and my sister had lots of songs and movies and I cant access her folder

You can't access the files because it's in another user account. When you perform PC recovery what option did you choose? Did you do a repair instead?

Tell me the brand of your PC, so I can give you instructions for a proper recovery.

My Brand is HP sorry for late reply my wireless wasn't working so I had to get an ethernet

Hi, please post me here size of your Documents and Settings folder. Just go to My Computer > C: partiton > Than right click on Documents and Settings folder and click Properties.

EDIT:Also I can show you when I scan with Malware Bytes because it scans my sisters old files even though I PC recovered

Ok, go to My Computer > Right click on C: partition > Properties.

Click on Disc CleanUp button, wait moment for new window, than select this option in check box :
Temporary Internet Files
Offline Web Pages
Recycle Bin
Temporary Files
Compress Old Files

Now click OK.

I don't know where C: partition > Properties. is I went to my computer but i couldn't find it

Just right click on your Hard Drive partition, than choose properties, look at the picture bellow.

The disc cleanup didn't really do anything and what I was trying to do was delete my sisters files as you can see here.
My sisters old files still get scanned


And on this one I can't access her files


Finally when I try to delete her folder it says this

I'm sorry but that didn't work. I tried deleting with unlocker over and over but it didn't delete...it's still there

Please try booting into safe mode and delete that file.
