interent connection excellent but internet cant browse

i use mozilla firefox and it says that there is a page error but the internet connection is excellent and everything elese works fine but only the internet doesnt work can anyone help me out please? im new and i dont understand all this tihngs u have to do

Open CMD, Reset WINSOCK entries to installation defaults by typing: netsh winsock reset catalog

Reset TCP/IP stack to installation defaults by typing: netsh int ip reset reset.log

Restart your PC.

If it doesn't work, download Winsock XP Fix from here, save it to your Desktop.

Double click on the exe on your Desktop.
Press the "Fix" button, then restart again.

See if you can connect now.
