I run my Antivirus daily (avira) and adaware, and malware bytes- all daily. Sometimes twice a day because you do not know whats out there. But recently my computer is SUPER slow- and it shouldnt be. It takes 10 minutes to load internet explorer or firefox. So, I open task manager- as the only thing that is running is that application. I have these running at 100,000 + KB- and do not know what they are- can anyone tell me?

dumprep.exe
hpzipm12.exe
mspmspsv.exe
jqs.exe
lsass.exe
crss.exe
svchost.exe (between 4 and 8 of them, at times)

Ctfmon.exe and Qtplayer.exe, qttask.exe are always running today- at 400,000 kb- and I have no idea what programs they are for! I have no qt player, we use windows media player. and when i ran my virus scan and restarted- it tells me these applications need to close- but I never opeened them???
Just wonderin if any of you heard of these?
Thank You!

They start themself because they are launched at startup via the Run key in the registry. You can disable most of the stuff in msconfig, just leave your AV running at startup. Smile...
