Updating Windows 7 RC with Windows 7 Student Download

Hello it has been a while since I have been on here but could use some great help again. I downloaded Windows 7 RC on a computer i had laying around the house and now I want to update it with Windows 7 Home Premium I bought with a student discount through Microsoft. The only problem is the student download will not let me update the RC since the RC is technically an "ultimate" version of windows 7. So, i was hoping someone could help me with the update.

You cannot update an ultimate version of Windows 7 to a premium version. You can only upgrade from a basic version to a more advanced version. You can only upgrade in this order: Windows 7 starter to Premium to Professional to Ultimate.

You will have wipe your hard disk and do a fresh install of your purchsed OS. :smile2:
