Have been infected with the Total Security Malware Virus. I have tried to reformat the hard drive to original settings but the computer screen goes into sleep mode before it finishes. What can be done to help with the reformat? Currently running Windows Vista on HP machine.

computer automatically boots to reformat screen. Cannot do anything but reformat but it wont allow it due to monitor going into sleep mode before it finishes. Help
