Personal Guard running havoc - Help!!!

Some of my programs aren't working, included MSCONFIG and Fanale. I also have recently installed Avira to try and get rid of it, but it just keeps popping up every few seconds with a warning to quarantine or delete so I disabled it. Also, a few times when I restarted my computer something scary happened: a blue screen popped up and stopped the start up with some error that I didn't write down (probably should have). I think it said something about memory dump.
