Computer running very slowly - not sure if it's a virus. Mor

I've run AVG, Malwarebytes, and SuperSpyware and they are not picking up anything, but my husband ran bitdefender and it picked up a virus. He didn't write down the name before deleting it. Still, the computer is extremely slow and sometimes we can't even get online. Here's my hijackthis log:

Please download Malwarebytes Anti-Malware from here.

Double Click mbam-setup.exe to install the application.

• Make sure a checkmark is placed next to Update Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware and Launch Malwarebytes Anti-Malware, then click Finish.
  
• If an update is found, it will download and install the latest version.
  
• Once the program has loaded, select "Perform Full Scan", then click Scan.
  
• The scan may take some time to finish,so please be patient.
  
• When the scan is complete, click OK, then Show Results to view the results.
  
• Make sure that everything is checked, and click Remove Selected.
  
• When disinfection is completed, a log will open in Notepad and you may be prompted to Restart. (See Extra Note)
  
• Please save the log to a location you will remember.
  
• The log is automatically saved by MBAM and can be viewed by clicking the Logs tab in MBAM.
  
• Copy and paste the entire report in your next reply.

There was not a log to post, but the results came back clean. No viruses, no infected files, no suspect files, no warnings, etc. At the top, it said "no problems were found". I have a screenshot if you need it. Thanks!

I did take a look at that topic but I'm not sure where to start. I know that whatever it is, it's eating up my available memory because I'm not able to run big programs easily, and my computer is slow altogether, not just when browsing the internet. I ran Autoruns but wasn't sure what I could uncheck, but there were a lot of items there and I have tons of running processes, most of which I have no clue as to what they are. Could that be the problem? Any suggestions on how to get started?

Please download TFC by OldTimer to your desktop

• Please double-click TFC.exe to run it. (Note: If you are running on Vista, right-click on the file and choose Run As Administrator).
  
• It will close all programs when run, so make sure you have saved all your work before you begin.

  button to begin the process. Depending on how often you clean temp
  files, execution time should be anywhere from a few seconds to a minute
  or two. Let it run uninterrupted to completion.
  
• Once it's finished it should reboot your machine. If it does not, please manually reboot the machine yourself to ensure a complete clean.

Please download the latest version of Kaspersky GetSystemInfo (GSI) from Kaspersky.fr and save it to your Desktop.

Please download the newest version of Adobe Acrobat Reader from Adobe.com

Before installing: it is important to remove older versions of Acrobat Reader since it does not do so automatically and old versions still leave you vulnerable.
Go to the Control Panel and enter Add or Remove Programs.
Search in the list for all previous installed versions of Adobe Acrobat Reader. Uninstall/Remove each of them.

Once old versions are gone, please install the newest version.

I've tried running the bandwidth test a few times on different days and it gets stuck. It won't let me run it to completion. Is there another I can try?

It comes and goes. It's better than it was initially, but it's still not fast. I use google chrome and it does seem to be operating well.

It appears your computer has remnants of a past Norton installation.

Please download and run the Norton Removal Tool.

On that page, it will ask for what product you had in the past. If you do not know, let me know, and I can get a Norton Remove-all tool to help.

One of the slow factors, would be a couple of services being run by Norton, interfering with your main good antivirus AVG. If you have any other antivirus software, please uninstall them via Add or Remove programs (in Control Panel). AVG should be your main, as it is currently. It is one of the most recommended.

I also noticed Spybot running. It would be good to uninstall this, since you have a good antispyware, which is part of the AVG suite. Also, you have SUPERantispyware and Malwarebytes as passive scanners. Spybot will not be needed.

A number of programs have resident protection and it is a good idea to run the resident protection of one of each type of program to maintain protection. However, it is important to run only one resident program of each type since they can conflict and become less effective. That means only one antivirus, firewall, and scanning anti-spyware program at a time. Passive protectors such as SpywareBlaster can be run with any of them.

My recommended load for security:

-AVG antivirus. It is rated near the top and free. Do not use any other antivirus.

-AVG antispyware is usually included when you download AVG antivirus. Any others should be uninstalled. Good passive scanners like Malwarebytes and SUPERantispyware are ok.

Please do those tasks, Norton removal tool, and uninstalling other antivirus software.

Then, let me know how things are running.

I'm not sure what type of Norton we had, so can you please post the remove all link? In the meantime, I'll start uninstalling the other anti-virus programs. Thank you!
