Please create a Restore Point. Start > All Programs > Accessories > System Tools > System Restore.
Give it a name like
cd fix and then let it set the Restore Point.
Then, please do the following:

Click File > Save as
Choose Save as type: All Files
Save the file to your Desktop as
fixdrive.regExit Notepad and double click on the file to run it. Choose Yes/Confirm any prompts.
Please reboot for changes to take effect.
Is the drive operational again?
