I desperately need help. My computer is paralyzed and I am unable to do anything except if I'm in Safe Mode. Yesterday while visiting okCupid, I received some popups on my computer screen. I did not click on any ads, I was just browsing through the guys and doing what I think is called Quick Match when this all came about. The adds said that I had a virus including a Trojan and asked if I wanted to purchase a virus protection program. I was unable to remove those ads no matter what I did. They covered my screen and kept popping up all over the place looking like it came from Windows. I ran Malwarebytes and it showed NOTHING. I made the mistake of clicking on the ad to get some room to work in and it led me to the area of purchasing AV SEcurity Suite. I wasn't sure if it was real or not, so I started fishing around the site and got an 800 number. I called it and it was a disconnected number and that's when I sort of knew it was a fake. In the meantime, these tabs started popping up from... w.porno.org, www. porno.com, www. adult.com, www.viagra.com and they kept doing it over and over. My task bar showed about 30 little windows and my computer went nuts. I called my daughter who looked up how to start the computer in Safe Mode and I followed her directions from this site http://www.2-spyware.com/remove-av-security-suite.html , I didn't follow through, because I didn't understand. I was then able to get to some forums who told me that if I purchased a program called Spyware Doctor, it would take it away. Now this virus prohibits you from accessing the Internet (unless you are in Safe Mode) so I couldn't upload the program except in Safe Mode (w/Internet) I tried removing the program manually by finding it in my programs and clicked uninstall, but it didn't work. I uploaded Spyware Dr and ran the scan both in Safe Mode and standard Mode and it showed that I had 1 infection of Trojan.FakeAlert and 37 infections of RogueAntiSpyware.AntiVirusSystemPro. There was also another, but it seemed to have gotten rid of the third; however, I am still paralyzed with these pop ups showing each time I start in Normal mode. I run the Spyware Doctor and it shows that it was successful in removing them, but the adds are still there and the next time I reboot I get the same thing. Now when I try to use the Malware Det Wizard, it shows that Windows has stopped working a problem caused this to stop working. I was so desperate, that I ran the long scan last night for over 6 hours and it still showed it being at 30% and it was barely moving, because all of this sex advertising popped up all over the screen. I emailed Customer support and called them but they have not gotten back to me. They asked me for this Malware Detective Wizard report which I was able to get yesterday before I ran the long scan and I sent it to them, but I have heard no reply from Spyware Doctor. I will never use OKCupid again.
