Phishing attacks in August were down 45 percent on the number reported in July, says Symantec.
The security firm's State of Phishing report for September revealed that financial and online shopping sites topped the list of organizations most targeted by phishing scams, accounting for 29.3 percent of all phishing attacks.
The report also highlighted that phishing scam messages urging recipients to re-configure their email client application by a link provided in the email have surged along with non-English language based phishing attacks.
