I just recently purchased a new Studio 1555 laptop from Dell with Vista 64-bit. Its litterally only 3 days old(I know I can call Dell support but instead of being on hold for 2 hours while they connect me to a person that will tell me to check the wires are properly plugged in I figured I would come here).

Anyway I am connected to a home network via a comcast netgear router/modem. I can connect to the other computers on the network and share files and such. I am given an IP from the router and it says I am connected to the internet. I am able to ping each website i.e. www.yahoo.com, www.hulu.com etc.. I am even able to open www.google.com but can't go any further then that. If I try to open yahoo or hulu it won't open at all. The only website that does open is www.google.com but when I hit a search and try to browse away from google it won't open anything. I have tried using Firefox and Internet Explorer and niether work. I have connected another laptop to the same network and it browses the internet like normal.

The really wierd part is though I am able to connect to my neighbors wireless network from my house and when I am connected to his linksys router I am able to browse the internet like normal. I have used an ethernet cable to hook up directly to my netgear router at the house and am able to browse the internet normally. It only has a problem when I try to browse wirelessly on the netgear. And like I said while I am connected wirelessly to the netgear at my house I am given an IP address, am able to ping websites, and am able to network and browse the other computers on the network but when I try to open up a web page it won't open.

Well I broke down and went to Dell support and they had me re-install Vista with the Drivers/Utilities disk and everything. Still didn't work.

They had me try CMD and then netsh winsock reset and then on restart the laptop blue screened. I had to restart on last known good config and it blue screened again. So at this point Dell support told me to hold on while they transfer me..........48 minutes later I hung up while listening to the autoamtive messaging about Dell deals. I restarted the computer in Safe Mode with Networking and re-installed the Driver/Utilities disk that came with the laptop and it boots up without blue screening now. It still connects to the network and allows me to pull through the other computers, and it will still ping the websites just not open them in the browsers. Any ideas?
