Can you supply any more info?

You list 2 operating systems in your profile, vista and XP.....Does this occur with both OS's and also, are you using the same browser and versions on both?
If not, does the issue occur with all browser versions or makes used?

It may also be a connection speed issue if the router were involved, therefore we may have to look at your LAN settings.

Also, does the blank box with a 'red x' appear when the browser is attempting to load images?

Yup, same problem with both OS. I used different browsers but same problem also. The red X appears on the images that are not displaying, something like broken images. I don't know if this problem is in the router or my ISP.

The problem must lie in your router/firewall settings somewhere. If the images load OK when you bypass the router then its not an issue with your ISP.
Because this is occurring using 2 different OS's and different browsers, the issue does not lie there either.

Try checking all your routers filtering options using the browser interface and also turning off the NAT firewall for the router and see if this helps!
Maybe there is a filtering option enabled on the router settings that thinks the images are banner ad's?

Are you also running a software firewall? (ie Zonealarm etc)
If so disable that aswell.

I don't have any firewall installed except Windows Firewall. How to turn off that NAT Firewall on my router?

Btw, my connection seems ok this past few hours. All images are displaying properly, but after a couple of hours, it go back again to its problem, not loading images.

mmm, so it works periodically and then drops out for no reason? Does this occur with all of the sites you visit or only certain ones? Its not a firewall issue then.

Maybe related to your ISP but i would need to know your plans connection details (ie broadband/cable/satellite/dial-up etc and served speeds n so on).

Also your networks topology would be handy to know (ie how is your LAN set up)

One Question: Are you tunnelling through a proxy server or have you done so in the past?

This is a tough one and i must admit you have me stumped.......maybe Doctor Inferno has some suggestions you could try.

I have a wireless broadband connection with 384kbps speed. I'm using a router because I have a desktop and a laptop (wireless). I'm using it maybe half a year and theres no problem with my connection. Last week i've experienced that problem regarding the images and some site cannot be found.

I tried to use a proxy and seems all are ok. Images are loading properly to that particular site but slow and not broken. But, when don't use proxy, images are not displaying.

Is this a problem with my ISP? I tried to call the customer service and ask whats happening with my connection. I said that I'm using a router and they advised me to don't use my router temporarily and connect the cable directly to my computer. Hola, the images shown up. They said that my router are blocking my connection. But last few hours, my connection seems ok and after a while it drops out for no reason.

Btw, my YM was automatically sign out and in during that time.

Some things you could test out (check) or try:

(a) Try pinging the router from either machine on the WLAN and see if there are any dropped packets. (From the command prompt type: ping 192.168.x.x) I cant remember a d-links default IP.

(b) Is the signal strength OK , and are your machines within a reasonable distance to the router.

(c) Access the webconfig page by typing the routers IP into the address bar of your browser and hitting enter. Once the login in page is displayed, enter 'admin' as default password and that should give you access.
Check all the routers configuration settings and turn off the routers firewall to see if this helps.

(d) You could try updating the firmware on the router from the manufacturers website.
Even setting the router back to factory default by holding in the tiny pin button on the rear of the router for 5 seconds or so and then start again with configuration.

(e) Is the modem inbuilt to the router? If not, are you connecting to the modem using ethernet?
If you are, try another ethernet cat5 cable.

(f) If none of these seem to help it may be a hardware issue itself in that the router is possibly faulty
