Well...
1st Step results: UNINSTALLING JAVA: "The system administrator has set policies to prevent this installation"

2nd step results: SymNRT.exe: C:\users\Lauren\App Data\Local\Microsoft\Windows\Temporary Internet Files\Content.IES\EB69ZLCA\SymNRT[1].exe
" The system could not find the environment option that was entered"

Belahzur, please keep in mind that Norton popped up on its own one day (I never installed it) and AVG was installed by me but is simply an icon and folder...this looks pretty bad, huh? Firefox isn't Firefox either if THAT makes any sense??

  • Please download DDS by sUBs to your Desktop (Important!!) from one of these locations:
    Link 1
    Link 2
  • Double click DDS.scr to run.
  • When complete, two logs will open. Save both of the report to your Desktop.
  • Copy and paste DDS.txt back here, I don't need to see attach.txt just yet.

GO AFTER THE RICH!!! Anyway- I figure the sooner the better...Please help. THANK MY PATIENT HELPER!

Hello.
I do see Norton there, are you still getting the error about wrong environment?

descriptionMcAfee gave up on us- - Page 2 EmptyRe: McAfee gave up on us-

Hi Belahzur-
No error signs yet, but the norm is that hidden folders start creeping up as well as users and other strange "things" that weren't present before...the quite before the storm.
It took the gentleman at HP 1/2 to access the correct website and roughly 1/2 to gain control of my computer. He was so thorough that I can't believe something could slime by. I sensed he had doubts before signing off as well...
Did you see any red flags? Why? Why? WHY?

descriptionMcAfee gave up on us- - Page 2 EmptyRe: McAfee gave up on us-

more_horiz
p.s. hidden folders ARE starting to appear, shared computer was turned on and named and it seems as though I may have an entourage starting...at the moment my husband and I are sharing one account...

descriptionMcAfee gave up on us- - Page 2 EmptyRe: McAfee gave up on us-

Hello.
I didn't see any malware red flags if that's what you were talking about.

The HP guy probably fixed more than I could since he used remote access, but we here don't believe in that, reason being that we could stumble across sensitive data like passwords and such. Trust me, I'll stumbled across things on logs that people wouldn't want me to find. LMBO or ROFL

descriptionMcAfee gave up on us- - Page 2 EmptyRe: McAfee gave up on us-

I'm sure you could write a book on some of the things you've come across!
My concern is that I feel someone has already gained access/control of my computer again- I have run another log, I'm not sure if this can detect this sort of thing? Thanks VERY much.
