Geek Police took care of Antivirus System Pro...but I have this problem on another computer...Please Help.
I can't install or run my Malwarebytes or other programs.
Plus google search redirects all links to windowsclick.com.
I tried to download JavaRa as you requested (4x's)...but error message followed and did not install.
Went to www.windowsupdate.com but after 5 minutes of waiting, the page wouldn't load. I did however proceed with windows updates from icon at lower right of desktop.
Please help!

Hello.

  • Download combofix from here
    Link 1
    Link 2

    1. If you are using Firefox, make sure that your download settings are as follows:

    * Tools->Options->Main tab
    * Set to "Always ask me where to Save the files".

    2. During the download, rename Combofix to Combo-Fix as follows:

    Virus? Windows Click? Help! CF_download_FF

    Virus? Windows Click? Help! CF_download_rename

    3. It is important you rename Combofix during the download, but not after.
    4. Please do not rename Combofix to other names, but only to the one indicated.
    5. Close any open browsers.
    6. Close/disable all anti virus and anti malware programs so they do not interfere with the running of ComboFix.

  • We need to disable your local AV (Anti-virus) before running Combofix.
  • See HERE for how to disable your AV. (Mcafee)
  • Double click on ComboFix.exe.
  • Follow the prompts. NOTE:
  • ComboFix will check to see if the Microsoft Windows Recovery Console is installed.
***It's strongly recommended to have the Recovery Console installed before doing any malware removal.***

**Please note: If the Microsoft Windows Recovery Console is already installed, ComboFix will automatically proceed with its scan.

  • The Recovery Console provides a recovery/repair mode should a problem occur during a Combofix run.

    Virus? Windows Click? Help! Rcauto10

  • Allow ComboFix to download the Recovery Console.
  • Accept the End-User License Agreement.
  • The Recovery Console will be installed.
  • You will then get this next prompt that asks if you want to continue the malware scan, select yes

    Virus? Windows Click? Help! Whatne10

  • Allow combofix to run
  • Post C:\combofix.txt back here.

    Note:
Do not mouseclick combofix's window whilst it's running. That may cause it to stall.

Hello.

Now open a new notepad file.
Input this into the notepad file:

Registry::
[HKLM\~\services\sharedaccess\parameters\firewallpolicy\standardprofile\AuthorizedApplications\List]
"%windir%\\system32\\drivers\\svchost.exe"=-

Domains::

Save this as CFScript.txt, save it to your desktop also.
Then drag and drop CFScript.txt into combofix as seen below:
Virus? Windows Click? Help! Sfxdaw

This will open combofix again, agree to it's terms and allow it to run.
It may want to reboot after it's done. (It will warn you if it wants to)
Post the resulting log back here.

Something went wrong when performing the Drag and drop CFScript.txt into combofix.
My computer kept restarting while performing the Drag and Drop into combofix. After the computer restarted for the 3rd time it created a file log.
Now I'm unable to connect to the internet (with the infected computer) to forward you the file log.
My connection is fiber optic wireless internet.
I have another laptop that's not infected that I'm working from. What can I do?? All help is appreciated.

Download WinSockFix from here:

http://files.snapfiles.com/localdl834/WinsockxpFix.exe

Run it and see if it fixes your internet connection.

Do you have a memory stick or CD you can use to install files on the computer with no internet?

I have a memory stick but unsure of how to install files on it.

First download WinSockFix, save it to your desktop for your convenience,

Now plug in your memory stick in your computer, if its your first time using that memory stick on your computer it will install a driver for it so it can work properly,

Now go to Start, locate "my computer" and click on it, a new window will open, scroll down to where it says "devices with removable storage" and find your memory stick, once found, double click on the memory stick and it will open, if you have documents on the memory stick they will show in there as well, now locate the destination where you saved WinSockFix and drag it into the window where your memory stick is, now you have it saved on your memory stick.

Now go to the infected computer, plug in your memory stick and follow these instructions:

gG to Start, locate "my computer" and click on it, a new window will open, scroll down to where it says "devices with removable storage" and find your memory stick, once found, double click on the memory stick and it will open a window with all your documents in your memory stick if you have any, locate WinSockFix and double click on it, and choose Run, now WinSockFix will open, click on Fix and see if that fixes your problem.
