Takes like 5-10 mins to load pages and sometimes it just won't even load them.

I did the about:config and set the values to "true" for the proxy and other pipeline thingy, and 30 for the other thing...and left the ".ssl" to its original form.

Still no luck...any suggestions?

Thanks in advance.

Kleo, have u tried starting firefox in safe mode? Go to start, all programs > mozilla firefox > start firefox in safe mode. Let's see what that does. If things go normally, then perhaps it's a plugin or addon that's causing the problem. Also, is Internet Explorer equally slow?

U really don't say what OS you're running, your software versions, esp. of your browser, when the problem began, etc. That could help us come to some conclusions.

Let us know, ok?

Problem began yesterday ( the very day I asked the question, lol).

My OS is windows XP, I just downloaded the newest firefox (3.5.2) and the rest doesn't make sense to me lol :$ (I'm just really getting into learning all of the computer terms).

Safe mode had no difference. Everything is slow loading and sometimes pages still won't load. I deleted all the addons so I doubt that was a problem.

Thanks for all your help!!!

Also Avira takes like 3-5 hours to update....SUPERAntiSpyware takes the same amount of time as before. So, I'm really stumped and frustrated lol.

I appreciate all your guys' help!Big Grin

Hey, abletec, no I haven't tried IE but I did surf on Safari and it was equally slow lol.

But today all seems to be fine!!! YAY LOL Big Grin

Only different thing I noticed was there was a new update from the computer so maybe that could've had something to do with everything being slow?

Thanks for all your help Big Grin

I'm working w/some1 w/a similar problem in the internet & networking forum. If u have any more problems similar to this, why not post over there so I can kind of keep both irons in the same fire.

This could have been anything from an update gone awry to internet service provider having problems. These are the hardest things to troubleshoot cuz so many variables come into play.

I'm glad things are working better now. If u ever need to post again, it's really helpful to include at a minimum: your operating system, the make & model of your computer, the amount of memory & hard drive space, & a brief history of the problem. When it comes to giving information to help solve a problem, more is better. There's seldom such a thing as t m i.

Have a blessed day & I'm glad things are working to your satisfaction.
