Hi friends, I'm tired of my CPU topping out all the time so I want to upgrade it. But I would like too know what is best for my setup? Or the best CPU period? because I think this computer is limited in what I can get.

Read this article here:

Your motherboard is using quite a recent socket, if I'm not wrong it even supports quad-core Intel CPUs. I recommend upgrading to a Core 2 Duo CPU because of it power efficiency. But it is really your choice to what you want and depends on your budget.

Here's one I would recommend:
Intel Core 2 Duo E6600 HH80557PH0564M (BX80557E6600)

Browse through the page, you can see many CPUs with specific information.

One more thing, what's your PSU watt?

Good Luck 8)

And I going to check your link right now. thanks.

ok, these are the two I think are good, but is there really any difference between them? I read that there's only a 10% change in the speed.

Intel Core 2 Duo Processor E6420 (2.13GHz, 4MB L2 Cache, 1066MHz FSB)

Intel Core 2 Duo Processor E6600 {2.4GHz, 4MB L2 Cache, 1066MHz FSB)

The E6600 has a higher Frequency by 267 MHz and Clock multiplier by 1.

Ok, now I searched awhile longer and found out I can run this:

Intel Core 2 Quad Q6600 Quad-Core Processor 2.40GHz, 8MB L2 Cache 1066MHz FSB

But do I need to get a higher watt power supply to run it or is mine fine?

the Q6600 quad core CPU uses about 95 watts, you most probably need a new power supply. You would be safe with 520 watts power supply unit. 8)
