This is the most annoying thing that I have ever encountered. It is so intolerable and it just will not go away. This is invading my peace of mind, which is not in a good place right now to begin with.
Any suggestions how to deal with this would be helpful, until then I wil just watch Craig Ferguson on youtube over and over again to lift my spirits.

How is a welcome image intolerable? If you have a malware problem, post your question here:

Did you actually see my question??? It was not about a "welcome message" at all. It referred to the "personal antivirus pop up" that appears about every 30 seconds from another site that I have received. Obviously if I was a wise geek, I wouldn't be here for your help.
pav.exe is what appears on the properties of the file, when I click on uninstall it goes nowhere. WTF, can you help or not?

Well since you quoted the image and never mentioned Personal Anti virus it looked like you were talking about the image. I thought the same thing but had to ready closely, if you have this problem follow Doc's advice and post your log so I can look at it My Buddy
