WPA/WEP help

I am trying to change my encryption system from a WPA passkey to a WEP so that one of my (admittedly old) wi-fi capable devices can connect. Is there a way for me to do this simply?

You need to log into your router through your browser. For me, I use 192.168.2.1 to log into my SMC router. Yours may be different, if you don't know the IP address for your router log in, let me know the brand of your router.

Some where in the router, under the security setting you can just select WEP instead of WPA.

It is a Linksys, I believe.

In your internet browser key in: 192.168.1.1

Under the security settings change WPA to WEP.

I did that and it's asking for a username and password.

Username: admin
Password: admin
