My friend seems to hate the damn life out of this game, but i love it, so i'll tell you my opinion and then ask for yours! OK
First off: The game appears to be better for xbox and PC, because the DLC was not intended to be released for PS3
The good: A very interactive gameplay, lots of interacting with the environment and objects. The skills thing is well set out and allows players to choose their own gameplay style, personally i think energy weapons are the best, but feel free to experiment. The karma system also expands gameplay, as it allows many different endings to quests depending on whether you want to be bad, good or neutral.
Besides sheer playability, there is the hugeness of it all, the map is massive, with so many different places to explore and so many quests to do at the places, the unmarked quests are a bit crummy because you can easily forget about them, but overall the quests are awesome!
Although the game itself rocks, i would recommend buying the Broken steel dlc, because it allows you to play on from the crappy ending (i'm not spoiling it for you, so don't ask) and adds new weapons and armor to your tactics.
Overall i recommend this game, it is well worth the money, and i here bethesda are making a fallout 4 and 5 soon so get in on the franchise now!
I cannot think of much bad, except the frequent need to save, and that the autosave feature can put you in crap spots a lot of the time, like if it autosaves as you go through an underwater door, if you make a mistake you have to load from a previous save, so keep a few saves to load from, incase they get saved over! :hmm:
