Unfortunately I've been hit with the dreaded System Security malware as well. It's really dug in as I can not run Malwarebytes, Spyware Doctor and most of my exe. files. I had to go to safe mode just to get online and post this. Please walk me through the steps to manually remove this. Thanks.

Hello.
Please download Hijack This via this link:
http://www.sendspace.com/pro/dl/932rpd

Run it and do a system scan with logfile.
Copy and past the log back here.

With help from the other postings on this site I was able to troubleshoot and I'm now back up & running again. The tech replies on the other posts were enough to get me started and in the right direction. Thanks!

Are you still having problems?

Yes - I thought everything was cleared, but now Windows will not boot up. I even tried safe mode, and it locks up as well. I think a key start-up component was deleted or left corrupt during the cleaning process. How can I reboot? Thanks.

So you can't boot in either normal mode or safe mode? Try the following:

Please download this file: Avira Rescue Disc

  1. Insert a black CD into your CD draw.
  2. Double click the rescuecd.exe file on your Desktop.
  3. Hit the "Burn CD" button and allow it to burn, it shouldn't take too long.
  4. Next, reboot your computer, keep the CD inside the draw.
  5. Your computer should boot from the CD and boot to the Avira rescue disc.
  6. Next, see this guide here: How to use the boot disc

Using an Iolo software I found around the house, it appears the "partition is corrupt"...and while the CD identifies this issue it locks-up when it's time to correct the problem. Will the Avira CD still help or do I need to head in a different direction? I can still run my CD-Rom so is there something out there I can run to clear this whole "partition" thing up? Thanks.

I suggest formatting your computer, if you can't seem to get into safe mode or normal mode then a format is required.
