Solved Cannot view hidden files....

till yesterday had no problem......

but some problem just occured.........


At present I cannot view hidden files and folders ......


Even on Tools > Folder Options > View > Show Hidden files
> View > Show protected OS files

they are again set to do not show.......



ani solution?////

Go to the following registry key:
HKLM\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Explorer\Advanced\Folder\Hidden\SHOWALL

DELETE the value CheckedValue in the right window. (Its type should be REG_SZ and data should be 2.)

Now create a new DWORD value called CheckedValue (same as above, except that the type is REG_DWORD). Modify the value data to 1 (0x00000001).

This should let you change the "Hidden Files and Folders" option.

hey anyone can u help me. my pc is infected with a troajn virus and i cannot view hidden folders coz there is no "folder option" in the tools menu. what should i do?

Do the below in the 'Malware Forum'!

Download a copy of HijackThis and save it to your desktop in a folder. Do a scan and save the HijackThis log. Post a complete logfile here. Link to HijackThis:

I will look at it later or another staff member from this section will help to diagnose your log.
