Solved WinHelp (.hlp) files in Vista

Post by darkagn on Wed 02 Jul 2008, 9:26 pm

Hi all,

I realised today that Vista does not support .hlp files, the "standard" help file format in previous Windows versions. Just thought I'd post this link for anyone that needs to view these files (not that any of us needs help though right Wink )

Anyway hope this helps someone out there...

The answer is 42.

This is true dark!

If you want to view 32-bit .hlp files in Vista you must download WinHlp32.exe:

Actually, it is extreamly useful. Think about it. There are still software developers using the .hlp file ext for there help files.
