Please help! Strange problem????

Ok, just bought a computer from my neighbor, HP Pavilion a6600f... I am running Vista Home Premium on it...

Pentium Dual Core Processor
320 GB Hard Drive
3 GB System Memory

I was over my neighbors, tested the computer, worked fine etc...

Walked next door with it, hooked it up and now this...

It works for a little, then randomly freezes, needs to be restarted, so forth and so on. There seems to be no rhyme or reason to the freezing, sometimes it happens quick, sometimes it takes a little longer...

This may make no difference either way, but he was connected using the Comcast Network and I have Verizon, I mention this as it is the only change I can think of that may have caused something to have happened???? It freezes when on the internet or not so it is probably not related but...?

Any help would be greatly appreciated!!!

go check and see on bios after your computer freezes the temperature of the CPU...

did you at any point in moving it to your house open up the side panel and touch any thing inside, or hit it on any thing a, a wall maybe, or sit it down roughly?

This will help me get a closer look, especially at errors, please do the following:

Download the latest version of Kaspersky GetSystemInfo (GSI) from Kaspersky and save it to your Desktop.
[color:2010="red"]Please close all other applications running on your system.

Please double click GetSystemInfo.exe to open it.

Click the Settings button.



Set it to Maximum



IMPORTANT! Then please click Customize - choose Driver / Ports tab and uncheck Scan Ports.


Click Create Report to run it.

It will create a zip folder called GetSystemInfo_XXXXXXXXXXXXXX.zip on your Desktop. Please upload the folder to Kaspersky GSI Parser and click the Submit button.

Please copy and paste the url of the GSI Parser report (not the log) in your next reply.
