Hello,

The link works fine for me. There is probably a malware blocking you from downloading. Please read this: http://www.geekpolice.net/-t3821.htm

Hello,
I just wanted to say thanks. I had the blue screen with the red letters "YOUR'RE COMPUTER HAS BEEN INFECTED, etc. I went to many sites and read a crap load before calling my computer guru (my nephew) only to get his voicemail. Then I came here. Dloaded the exe., installed, and ran it, and now the b**** is gone. Well Done!!!! Now when he returns my call, I get to tell him nevermind, it's taken care of. With credit given, of course. Thanks again.

One thing tho. Now whenever I right click on something a Windows installer balloon appears saying "Preparing to install", then after 3 or 4 seconds it disappears. This isn't a deal breaker for me, but if anyone has any suggestions it would be greatly appreciated.

Oh, at first it was trying to install Symantic Antivirus, but that isn't showing up anymore.

One more thing. I am remote desktopping into the infected cp.

Any ideas on how to re-enable "boot into safe mode"? The malware has apparently disabled that ability on this machine (Win xp pro x32). F8 does absolutely nothing.

downloading problems

Post by fahrside on Wed 16 Sep 2009, 4:36 pm

I can't download any updates or the hijack software, nor can I open the Malware removal download. I was able to get Spyware Dr. loaded and running but it isn't picking up all of the malware. Am I totally screwed on this?

NO removal success....got answer??

Post by ChikTzr on Sat 21 Nov 2009, 2:40 pm

11/21/09
First, I performed the removal procedure from
[link removed -Doctor Inferno]

Did not find anything in the registry or running processes listed via Task Manager.

Found this site...and I
Downloaded the mbam-setup.exe to flash drive.
Put the vista laptop in safemode with networking. Installed flash drive to install mbam-setup.exe.

Since the virus disabled the internet connection or disabled the browser from connecting to the internet, mbam was not able to update.

So I ran the mbam and found 2 infected files. Removed the files.
But was still not able to connect to internet. With no other option at the moment, I restarted the CPU in normal mode.

AntiVirus System Pro did not go away.

Please help.
