Follow these instructions to continue:

1. Please download this removal tool: Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware.

2. Extract the file and install Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware by double clicking on winlogon.exe

3. Follow the prompts. Make sure that Update Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware and Launch Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware are checked. Then click finish.

4. Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware will automatically update itself after the install, you can press the OK button to close that box and you will now be at the main program as shown below.

If you are having problems with the updater, you can use this link to manually update Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware with the latest database

Download the Full database to your Desktop or to your usual Download Folder and install it by double clicking the file. Make sure that Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware is closed before installing the update.

5. Close ALL open Windows, Programs, File or Folders.

6. Make sure you are on the Scanner tab. Select Perform quick scan then click the Scan button as shown above.

7. Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware will now start scanning your computer for infected files as shown below.



8. When the scan is finished a message box will appear, click Ok to continue.

9. Click Show Results.


10. You will now be presented with a screen showing you the malware infections like shown below. Yours may look different depending on the infection you have.

11. Click on Remove seletced


12. When removing the files, Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware may require you to restart the computer in order to do a complete removal. If it dȋsplay a message stating that it needs to restart, please allow it to do so.

13. After that you can close the Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware window, your computer is now cleaned.

It should be, this smitfraud is not as bad the other ones I have tested e.g. Winiblusoft.

My computer will not let me connect to this website. I tried burning Malwarebytes to a dvd, but the infected computer would not recognize the program. I am not that great with computers. Is there something else I can try?

Yes, if you restart the computer and it doesn't come back, it's gone. Unless the dropper is somewhere else and you accidentally run it again.

This showed up on my laptop about 2 days ago and was driving me crazy with the pop-ups every 25 seconds. After searching various methods to remove it, I have to say I was a little suspicious of some of the information that other sites were giving. Some seemed like they were either inaccurate methods or they were just links to other companies.

After reviewing, I found Geek Police's site, forums and information the most legit. I followed the above directions and within 10 minutes it had removed the insidious AntiVirus System Pro malware.

I wanted to register here so I could post a "Thank you", and for others reading and searching like I was, I had zero problems removing it using the above method.

ME TO... WOW unbelievable... It worked flawlessly. I have avg antivirus and it couldn't remove or even find this virus... I am buying this program. I cant believe it was free. I encourage everyone to make a conribution of some sort. for all we know geekpolice created the virus and now we're pumped up to pay them to remove it. I doubt that but you never know. ha ha.
