unable to access gmail security certificate problems

when I try to go to gmail I am unable to because of security certificate issues. I checked the date and tiem in my computer and they are set fine what do I do

not sure what IMAP and POP are - I do know my entire system was and still may be seriously infected - when I try to go other websites I get redirected to ads etc
