UK Google version taken over homepage

I use google.com as my homepage. I am in the United States. All of a sudden it has changed to google.co.uk version. I try to enter google.com but it changes back when I hit enter. Any Ideas? Thanks

Hello,

Please try connecting to www.google.com/ncr instead. Google might be detecting your IP address incorrectly. You may let them know about it here:

Thank you for your quick response. What you suggested worked. When I hit the home button the browser stays on google.com but it still shows a link to hit to take you to Google.co.uk. underneath the search bar. I don't know why that is but so far so good. Thank you very much!!

It's probably Google's mistake. This happens to some people occasionally, and most of the time it takes them to the Google UK.
