Internet connection keeps dropping temporarily
I'm at wits end and hope this site can help. I have a DSL wireless connection with one desktop and 2 laptops. Within the last few months I keep losing my internet connection. This interferes with computer back ups and downloads etc as you can imagine. My Internet provider keeps telling me it's nothing at their end. My speed levels appear to be fine. Has anyone had this problem and what do you suppose I need to do?

Hello,
Open CMD, Reset WINSOCK entries to installation defaults by typing: netsh winsock reset catalog
Reset TCP/IP stack to installation defaults by typing: netsh int ip reset reset.log
Restart your PC.
If it doesn't work, download Winsock XP Fix from here, save it to your Desktop.
http://www.snapfiles.com/get/winsockxpfix.html
Double click on the exe on your Desktop.
Press the "Fix" button, then restart again.
See if you can connect now.
