Solved No sound

Post by FaithCassita on Fri 23 Oct 2009, 7:54 pm

Hi, please help. I had to restore my pc, had to reinstall windows and now my system is not playing any sound whatsoever. Can you help me figure out what kind of audio driver I have and how to fix it?

Please download the latest version of Kaspersky GetSystemInfo (GSI) from Kaspersky and save it to your Desktop.
Please close all other applications running on your system.

Please double click GetSystemInfo.exe to open it.

Click the Settings button.

Set it to Maximum

IMPORTANT! Then please click Customize - choose Driver / Ports tab and uncheck Scan Ports.

Click Create Report to run it.

It will create a zip folder called GetSystemInfo_XXXXXXXXXXXXXX.zip on your Desktop. Please upload the folder to Kaspersky GSI Parser and click the Submit button.

Please copy and paste the url of the GSI Parser report (not the log) in your next reply.

Do you have a drivers disk for Dell? I am guessing that is your system.

If not, you can find drivers on their website. support.dell.com

AHH, you're amazing! It was too simple. Before I posted here I looked everywhere to find out what kind of driver download I needed. I never thought :Well my computer is a Dell, let's see what the Dell Website has to offer". Thank you DragonMaster!! It worked!
