Fitting a New Processor?

Hi Sorry quite new to this. I was given an ACER M3201 which i believe has a AMD Phenom X4 quad core processor, if i want to upgrade this can i replace with a AMD Phenom II X4 processor?

Hello,

You have to see if the motherboard is compatible with the process. Firstly, find out how is the socket on the motherboard. If it is a socket AM2+ then it will most probably work with your Phenom II X4.
