About GeekPolice

Our website, GeekPolice, is a tech site first and foremost, but overall a device tutorial, security, and discussion site. We provide technical support to all types of devices whenever possible, virus, trojan, spyware, adware, and other malware removal, and provide a safe environment for tech and non-tech discussions. We welcome anyone 13+ of age to join us here and take part in what we have been doing: Discovering New Tech Knowledge! Our forums here are the core component as we value communication over pushing products, to which we have a variety of tools at your disposal to use for many different tech reasons.

Staffed completely by experts who donate their time and expertise to helping others, GeekPolice is geared towards providing free technical support for members. Yes it's all free. Specialized Tech Officers are assigned to each technical support forum category to ensure you that your computer is in the hands of professionals.

We are often praised for the commendable services we provide. Our testimonials page reflects the positive experience members receive through our services. You may contact us if you need help. Also, please view our Terms of Service & Privacy Policy.

FTC Disclosure and Disclaimer

The Federal Trade Commission requires that we disclose any relationship we have between a product manufacturer or advertiser when we write about a product, service, or recommend a product. We outline this information so you know who are teamed up with for promoting the products and services that we do.

Affiliate Links

Occasionally, we may use affiliate links when promoting a product or service in one of our articles, or we may construct a review on a specific product and the link to the product pages and associated services may be active. We use affiliations to assist in generating revenue to allow us to continue writing articles; however, this is not a significant source of revenue. If you would like to support us, please do click on the affiliate links, as we do have a policy against malware, warez, and other forms of illegal content and it is our duty to provide an interface free of such things.

Malware/Virus Removal Guides

GeekPolice is not associated, affiliated, sponsored or owned with or by the malware creators or distributors mentioned in our Malware & Ransomware Removal Guides forum. Articles and guides posted there should not be mistaken or confused in being associated in any way with the promotion or endorsement of malware. Our intent is to provide information that will educate users on how to remove malware from their computers with the help of various approved third party software tools such as Malwarebytes Scanner, Sophos Virus Removal Tool, herdProtect, etc. The articles and guides are posted there are "as is" and to be used at your own risk. Some tools we recommend do have affiliate links in the articles and posts.

Product/Service Reviews

Sometimes GeekPolice will buy a certain product or be given a certain product or license to a product for free, to which we provide a good and honest review to help you, as a user, make more educated choices about the things that you purchase and/or use. Sometimes we are paid to post the reviews, and other times we are not. We try to provide information of whether GeekPolice sponsored a specific giveaway, or if a specific business did. This only represents a portion of the revenue of GeekPolice.

"Police" - "Secret Agents" - "Special Agents" - "Officers"

You may notice that GeekPolice has the word "Police" in its name, has groups such as Tech Officer, Information Officer, Secret Agents, Special Agents, etc. However, please keep in mind that we, the staff at GeekPolice and the site itself, is not affiliated with any local/municipal police department, any federal law enforcement organization such as the Central Intelligence Agency (CIA), Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI), National Security Agency (NSA), Department of Defense (DoD), InterPol, or any other type of law enforcement organization. Our services are provided as metaphorically "policing" threats to security of people's computers and/or devices, and "policing" tech problems of people's devices as well. To view the private information this website collects, which is limited, please view our Privacy Policy.
