oohhh not bad....We get conned with DSL in Australia (8mbps is the fastest available....go figure?)

I cant wait for (FTTN) fibre to the node like they have in Europe but i'll probably be too old to see my monitor by then :-B:

who knows... technology by then could probably let you see without a monitor

I have a 56K Conexant SoftV90 Data Fax Modem :pale:
And doesn't help that I live in the sticks, on a dead end road, and if someone calls the house, I get knocked of the Net because theres only one phone line.

Sounds like your phone company has some very poor quality copper lines, there, my friend. I usually have a few baud left over at the end of the day. Want some? ;)

Where do you live that you are getting a connection speed like that?
